Faits de vers et délits d'opinion!

Comme vous le savez, Larry et nous, c'est une histoire de mots et de traductions. Du temps de Blue Blot, elle a chanté des adaptations en anglais de nos textes qui ont donné LOVE ME et THE FRIDGE.
Deux excellents morceaux dont il n'y a malheureusement pas d'enregistrement officiels...

Depuis, Larry s'est affranchie... Elle part toute seule, comme une grande fille, en croisière sur les mers déchainées du CHAUD BISENECE...

1. Ce n'est pas une oie blanche mais une professionnelle confirmée.
2. C'est une voix à faire tout craquer: les hommes, les femmes, les lapins et les martiens.
3. C'est quelqu'un qui a de la mémoire (utile pour retenir les textes) et qui n'oublie pas les amis.
Donc, ce sera du tout bon et du mérité.
Alors faite comme nous, achetez son nouvel album qui sortira le 14 octobre (ou piquez le si vous n'avez pas de scrupule). (y a moyen de l'acheter sur son site).

D'ailleurs, nous, on l'aime tellement bien qu'elle a réussi à nous faire quitter notre campagne, les galoches et les salopettes pour aller à une présentation de presse.

My passion for music came at a very early age and was fostered by my family. I couldn’t read the notes, but I understood instinctively the movement the melody made on paper. I couldn’t get enough of listening to my records in my playroom and fantasize. Preparing shows, and then performing for my friends and family : that was my thing back then and it still is.

At the age of seventeen I joined my first band, singing hip-funk-ska-billy-core… a mishmash of genres… but pleasantly disturbed and very loud! I toured three years with that band, entered competitions, recorded demo’s and cd’s, participated at jams… had a lot of fun, got more experienced and at ease on stage. After that I started drifting about from band to band, but there was always something missing : I wanted more then rock’n’roll and gloomy bars.

So I decided to enter the JazzS tudio in Antwerp, and there I found the right direction in my life. I learned how to use my voice, but mostly I fell in love with all that Jazz... Thanks to the JazzStudio I was invited to an audition that would change my life. I was sent to a try-out with the bluesband ‘Riddim ’n Bones’, with bandleader Jan Meyers, the bass player from Blue Blot. And it clicked immediately, it was electric. I discovered so much about blues and soul music. And that’s also how I met Jan’s friend and manager Wilfried Brits, whom would ask me later to sing with Blue Blot.

Today… I recorded an album with producer Jo Francken. I wanted to work with him because of the connection I felt when I heard the sincere sound he created for ‘Admiral freebee’. And I chose to bring you a personal interpretation of “That Ole Devil Called Love” as a first single , made everlasting by the great Billie Holiday.

The second single 'Smile' has a more personal touch to it, as I wrote the lyrics. It's about not letting the ones you love crack under pressure, not letting petty differences come between a great friendship.
